Ask Me About...- Grade 6s finished PATs and Grade 5s finished their Genius Hour presentations. - Health - human sexuality - we have learned about changes to our body during puberty and about both male and female reproductive systems. We also learned about the development of a fetus, how twins form and blood borne diseases. - Spheros - we finished coding our games, stories, or nursery rhymes and shared them. They were amazing! - We are starting to explore the art medium of watercolour. We are trying to replicate artworks of flowers or insects or some other natural image so that we can develop skill with the techniques of using a lot of water with a little bit of paint. We are looking at the effects that can be created by using washes and layers. Thank you Parent Council for the classroom donation that allowed the purchase of some amazing water colour sets. And a HUGE than you to Kensington Art Supplies for giving us a great discount so we could buy enough sets to share in pairs. - Penguin Pandemonium is our read aloud novel. The penguins have decided to have a talent show on Penguin Cam to try to draw people in so that the zoo won't close. We recognize some unlikeable character traits in Muriel, one of the fairy penguins. - We started Grad rehearsals... we are excited to perform for you! Upcoming...- Monday - Pyjama Day and if you choose, you could come with Crazy Hair, too.
- Tuesday - Grade 6 Farewell 12:30 to 2:30pm - Wednesday - Farewell Assembly 10:30. Dismissal at 12:15pm. Ask Me About... - We are programming Spheros to tell a story, a nursery rhyme or to play a game. - We finished our James Rizzi buildings - We started a new novel called "Penguin Pandemonium". We will be presenting them next week. - Grade 5s finished their Evidence and Investigation clue project. - Grade 6s ...PATs, PATs, and more PATs...
