Ask me about....Marsh Madness - At Ralph Klein Park we found many interesting invertebrates, including leeches and side swimmers when we pond dipped. Some of us also saw water boatmen and water striders. Writing - Our Grade 6s wrote their Language Arts Writing PAT story and news article, and the Grade 5s, also wrote a news article and story. We were all able to show how much we have grown in our writing this year. Math - We started to create growing patterns that we are showing visually and trying to explain in words. We are telling what happens for each case so that we can easily find out what would happen for the 10th? 20th? 100th? x? case. We are solving some angle problems during our daily math time also. Science - we are almost finished our wetland writing. Social - We are learning about collective identity and how it is shown through wampum belts. Art/Math - we continued to paint/colour our James Rizzi buildings and those of us who are finished are starting to design the city grid that they will be placed on. Granted - we finally finished. Sam got a home, Kasarah got her bike and Ophelia got probation but she also was able to make both wishes happen. Art - we are continuing to work on our Zentangles.
